Suzzane King..I knew her since 2005. She use to be an English Teacher to my villagers. She is awesome and adorable. Full of passion to help the community to be better in all aspects of their life. She stay at my kampung for more than two years. She left and back to her homecountry, Australia to further study.
She became a part of my family. Sometimes if happen she drop by to Sabah, she will stay with my family. Am so grateful to have such good and sweet sister like her. It's hardless to get along with her..
This is her latest update. I guess she loves to do social works and helping people. How impressive..
Hi All,
Sorry about the group email but I finally have some internet access!!! Yay! At the moment in Parrnngurr community - in the middle of nowhere - about 400km from Newman. Interesting trip out as the car I have been given broke down an hour into the journey and then again four more times. Hit a roo as well - which made it difficult to open the bonnet to refill the radiator as the roo was strapped to the bull bar. Made a few friends in the community though bringing in fresh meat! Except they complained it was a par-boiled!
So life is pretty good. Have spent most of the past three weeks goanna hunting, honey ant hunting and kangaroo hunting. Becoming a bit of a bush woman! Next on my list if emu's and camels! Was even thinking about the possibility of milking camels and making roasted stuffed goanna with camel feta and bush tomatoes - Zan's bush cookbook! Could be a hit! (Don't know how I am going to milk the wild camels yet!!!)
Have spent a week out in my community - Jigalong - quite a lovely place. Place looks great, there is a pool, lots of broken down cars, random pet camel that walks to the clinic every day and three trillion dogs!. Apart from that not a hell of a lot else! Except there is Jigalong beer (alcohol free) which is a nice change!
Have attached a couple of pics of the community, hunting and my breakdown in the car - will try and send some more later on.
Hope all is well your way and will be in touch soon. Off now to collect firewood!
Love and hugs
Zan
